The Club's last Record Fair was held in September 2019 and a large crowd of traders and buyers attended. This time around we were lucky enough to have author Graeme Brown from Townsville with us, and who was selling and autographing copies of his book, Sunshine Secrets.
Thanks to all who supported us, the club members who assisted in the set up and clean up and especially to Frank Glosny who once again undertook much of the organizational work. The success of the Fair is in no small part due to Frank's hard work.
The fairs raise money for the club and prove very popular with the music fans of Perth. Although the club concentrates its interests on the 1950's and 1960's a wide range of music is offered by the vendors at these fairs, everything from folk to electronica, on vinyl, cassette, CD and even sheet music. The eras covered range from the 1940's to last year.
The next Fair was scheduled for Sunday 5th April, 2020, (the Sunday before Easter) but in accordance with the government guidelines associated with the Corona Virus pandemic we had to cancel it. We then hoped that we could schedule one for later in the year (September or October) but the ongoing situation with gatherings and social distancing along with the logistics involved with the organization of such an event proved too difficult to overcome. We are now aiming for around March or April 2021 and we will advise in due course.
Admission is just $3 for adults and free admission for under 16's
