The club was formed in Perth, Western Australia early in 1984. It was during the infancy of compact discs and the original aim was to join together like-minded people who shared a passion for original vinyl recordings from the 1950's and 1960's. Of course, things have changed a bit since then, but the core value persists, that members share a love of music from the advent of rock and roll in the mid 1950's through to the mid 1970's.

Membership costs A$25 per year for individuals and A$30 for a family membership.

We meet monthly at the John McGrath  Hall located at Ernest Johnston Oval in South Perth (entry from Hensman Street).  Visitors are always welcome.

We meet on the second Wednesday evening of the month February to November commencing at 7:30pm.  We wind up the year in December with a Christmas function which is held at another venue.

The formal part of the evening usually concludes around 9:00p.m., after which a hot supper is served and tea and coffee are available.

Entry fee is $3 per meeting which helps cover the cost of the hall hire and the supper which is served at the conclusion of the meeting.
